•MPAA GONE WILD?

OK, People. What's the deal with the Motion Picture association of America? Why would they give PIXAR'S summer 2009 film entitled "UP" a PG rating?

Besides the outstanding classic "The Incredibles", this pending film "UP" is the only film by Pixar to have a PG rating. Huh? What about "Ratatouille"? There was some content in that film that kids wouldn't understand.

I'm serious.

Other MPAA shockers:

"SPEED RACER"- PG.
Should'a been PG-13. The Wachowski Brothers of MATRIX fame are edgey.

"MARLEY & ME"- PG.
Should'a been PG-13. I'm not gonna tell you why, so don't ask.

"SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE"- R.
Should'a been PG-13. Awesome. Inspiring. Not the plethera of shootouts and explosions in most PG-13 films. Whussup?

"STAR TREK"- PG-13
The franchise has always been known for it's PG, family-friendly rating. Perhaps "Lost" and "Cloverfield" creator J.J.Abrhams at the helm makes a dif. We'll see.

"TERMINATOR SALVATION" - PG-13
This futuristic film franchise has always been associated with an R rating.

"YEAR ONE" - PG-13
JUDD APATOW known for producing R rated fare.

"HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE"- PG.
Recent HP filx has been dark & scary, donning a PG-13 rating.

What gives?

J.K Rowling's Victory! by Jennifer

J.K Rowling, the famous author of the Harry Potter book series, has filed a lawsuit against the publication of the book called "The Harry Potter Lexicon", authored by a man named Steven Jan Vander Ark. The book has various facts about the Harry Potter series. 

J.K Rowling has claimed that Steven Jan Vander Ark has stolen her life's work by taking her ideas and making it into an Encyclopedia, without getting permission from her first! 

She said that she didn't enjoy bringing this up to court. Some people think that J.K Rowling should have lost the lawsuit. 

Am I happy that she won? WHOA. I am very happy that she won!  She is a wonderful author and stood by her series until the very end. I bet fans everywhere are enlightened that she won. She deserves this victory. So congratulations J.K Rowling! This WHOA's for you!!!
